Kashif Haq promoted to Strategic Execution Officer (SEO) for Bright House Networks'
Syracuse, NY – (March 5, 2008) –Kashif Haq has been named the Strategic Execution Officer (SEO) for Bright House Networks (BHN), a newly created post. Haq’s new role encompasses the traditional duties of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Network Officer (CNO). Haq, who had been the Senior Vice President of Broadband Technology and Services, will continue to report to Nomi Bergman, Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development.
“Strategic Execution Officer is a more telling description for Kashif’s new responsibilities, rather than the more traditional CIO and CNO titles, as we think it is critical to have a strong, central figure, particularly talented at execution, in charge of enabling and maintaining company-wide information technology initiatives. His track record of high performance, successful team work and delivery has made him a vital leader in our organization. In his new role, Kashif will lead our company to effectively share resources and cooperate across businesses, regions, and functions, as we build and manage a platform of digitized processes and data that serve our business units and our customers,” Bergman said.
In Haq’s expanded role he will develop and implement corporate web strategy, build systems to lead automation of key business practices, delivery of new broadband products and services, and evolve the company’s converged IP broadband platform to meet the needs of our growing business.
“Kashif’s commitment to excellence, extraordinary capacity to manage, change and grow, and his strategic insights and technology expertise make him an ideal SEO. We look forward to his continued success in this new role for BHN,” Bergman said.
Haq received his BS/EE/CS and MS/EE degree from Polytechnic University in New York. He has served on the NAMIC board, and he is currently on CableLabs’ DOCSIS Certification Board. The Haq family resides in Syracuse, New York.
