Bright House Networks Introduces New High Def Channels

Orlando, FL, September 28, 2007 – Bright House Networks today announced the addition of several new High Definition (HD) channels in its Tampa Bay and Central Florida operating divisions.  The new channels will make life easier for HD customers who want more high resolution pictures, wider aspect ratios and Dolby Digital surround sound.

“With the addition of these new HD channels, Bright House Networks is responding to the increasing popularity of the HD format and customers’ growing desire for HD programming,” said John Rigsby, president Bright House Networks Florida Group.

HD channels slated to be introduced in the Tampa Bay Division are The Food Network HD, The History Channel HD, HGTV HD, Discovery Science Channel HD, The Learning Channel HD, Discovery HD, and Animal Planet HD.  TBS HD launched in the Tampa Bay area on September 27.  All channels are expected to be available to Tampa-area customers by the end of the year.

The remaining channels will launch in the Tampa Bay area once the announced PEG channel realignment – which is scheduled for December 11 - is complete.  With the new HD channel additions, the Tampa Bay Division will offer 30 HD channels to customers.

In the Central Florida Division, TBS HD, HGTV HD, The History Channel HD and Food Network HD will be introduced by Oct. 2, 2007.

These channels will be free in both divisions to any digital subscriber.
